Frequently Asked Questions About Juice Cleansing
So, you’re interested in juice cleansing? Excellent! We’re excited that you’re taking the time to learn more about it. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions for people embarking on their first-ever juice cleanse.
Will I be in the bathroom all day if I do a juice cleanse?
Some people find great relief from constipation while juice cleansing. If you are someone who has regular bowel movements, you may find yourself heading to the bathroom more often.
Can I drink the juice and eat food?
What your cleanse looks like is totally up to you. Those who are trying to break eating patterns generally choose to simply drink the juice without food. Athletes who desire a nutrient flood (and require 2000+ calories/day) typically drink the juice in addition to eating clean. Focus on your individual goals and reach out to us if you have questions. If you’re a newbie and don’t want to start with a full juice cleanse, consider this plan:
The juice + food plan.
- Drink 4 juices/day for 3-5 days or 3 juices/day for 3-5 days.
- Eat vegetables and fruits throughout the day and end the day with clean protein (fish, chicken, nuts).
Are your juices and cleanses dairy-free?
Yes! Our Cashew Dream is incredibly creamy, but it’s entirely plant-based and dairy free.
Is it safe to cleanse while I’m pregnant?
We highly suggest adding juice to your diet while you’re pregnant, however, we do not recommend juice cleansing. Though the flood of nutrients is incredibly beneficial, you and your growing child require more calories during pregnancy than a cleanse would provide.
I noticed my urine/bowel movements are red after drinking the beet juice. Is this normal?
Don’t be alarmed! Beet juice contains carotenes that may turn your urine and bowel movements red. This is totally normal. Beets provide antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and detoxification support and have been shown to increase stamina during exercise by increasing blood flow.
